Delta variant release

This release contains the data and code for analyses exploring the association between upper-tier local area (UTLA) reproduction number estimates in England and the proportion of COVID-19 tests negative/positive for the S-gene as a proxy for the Delta variant.

Alpha variant analysis

This release contains the original analysis used as part of the wider analyses for the "Estimated transmissibility and impact of SARS-CoV-2 lineage B.1.1.7 in England" study (10.1126/science.abg3055). In addition, it also contains an analysis of the severity of the Alpha variant using population-level data that is currently unpublished
