Run Rules

Peter Torelli edited this page Dec 12, 2022 · 1 revision

The following rules must be observed for a score to be considered valid.

Scores must be collected using the Host UI software

Using the host software guarantees the correct EMON, firmware, and settings were applied to generate the score. The self-checking mode in the Host UI validates the results of the computations.

Platforms must pass the validation suite

The validation suite checks the correctness of the cryptographic API. This test must pass at the selected strength for a score to be considered valid.

Only one power supply may supply power to the device under test

Some evaluation boards install pull-up resistors (e.g., for active-low reset signals) on a separate power plane. It is forbidden to provide an additional source of power to the board to power this hardware. The board must be modified in such a way as to supply the necessary current for these components from the single, measured power supply (refer to the previous rule on board modification).
