The third prototype is developed on the smartphone platform. We used MockingBot to develop this prototype cause its powerful features. The project designing in MockingBot can be outputted with a lot of file's formats, such as offline Web-based representation (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), Android APK, etc.
Compared to the last prototype designed with Adobe XD, this version is more in line with industry standards. Specifically, the UI components of each interface are organised more appropriate, the logo has been redesigned to better match and highlight the characteristics of our products.
The first image below shows the login screen for our product. Like many Internet products, its purpose is to provide users with access to the software. We have considered the principle of human-computer interaction, so we try to keep it simple in design. The main colour of the software is dark blue and yellow. The colour of the login button is set to yellow, to reduce the user's cognitive load. The user's email address is treated as an id identifying each user. In the design of the database, if the password matches the user's mailbox string, the user is allowed to complete the login operation.
The second picture is the boot page of the software. It consists of two pages, the first page describes the purpose and purpose of the software, and the second page describes the features of the software. Vectors are designed to take into account that some users don't like to read long paragraphs, so we use graphical design to help users reduce reading pressure. The purpose of the guide page design is to help users better understand our products. According to the HCI principle, users need to have a basic understanding of the meaning and basic functions of product design before using the product. Otherwise, the process of using the software will be confused. The guide page may become more introductory in future designs.
Next, we entered the main page of the software and the interface of the user information (we will introduce them here). On the design of the home page, we can see that the software shows the records of the users using the software in the last two weeks. It also embodies that the characteristics of this software are based on the features of the long-term recording of user habits. In design, the criteria we use are colour differences, and we can see the number of days of recorded results. When the user clicks the yellow button in the centre of the interface, the user can enter the record function. The bottom navigation bar allows the user to enter different function pages and complete the jump.
In the user information, here the user can set their personal information, including their name, registered mailbox, occupation, birthday and health value information. The purpose of this design is mainly to take into account the software's forum function needs to identify the user.
Next is the logging function of the software, which has a "Yes or No" type of question for each entry. The purpose of this design is to facilitate long-term analysis of user data. For example, if we set the value of the user's coffee to 1 (the opposite case is set to 0), the user has a well-sleeping value that is also set to 1 (the opposite case is set to 0. If we got the user yesterday's data, showing he or she slept well, we could conclude that the effect of coffee on the user is 0. When the data is recorded on the next day showed the user does not sleep well, then the influence factor value of the individual coffee becomes 50%. As the software records more and more data, the value of each impact factor will be more suitable for each user's real situation. Although each factor is not accurate enough, it satisfies the right analysis and calculation of each user's differences. In future designs, we will continue to iterate on this function, taking into account the more sub-factors of each factor (e.g. coffee time, coffee concentration, etc.).
Next is the software's analysis interface, where we will classify and quantify the values recorded by the user. The user is given the sensitivity factor values under the five factors we consider and provides recommendations to the user based on the highest influencing factors. In the forum function, users can ask questions here and provide their advice for people who also have sleep problems. You can see that these users have the same problems as you, and you are in the same city as you, so psychologically makes our users feel less lonely.
