Welcome to the MCMUWrapper wiki! Using MCMU wrapper is simplistic (simpler than configuring a pack json that is) automatic usage is simply adding a line to your pre-launch command in MutliMC

Yes the installation of MCMUWrapper has to be configured on a per-instance basis, and I am not going to change that. command to set: java -jar "$INST_MC_DIR/MCMUWrapper.jar" and make sure MCMUWrapper.jar is in the .minecraft folder of your instance.

Other launchers are unsupported, but if you want to fannagle them to wrok let me know how you got it to automatically work and I'll add it here.
