# Updating documentation | ||
The documentation can be most easily updated through Github. | ||
The steps are: | ||
1. Log into your github account go to team 2530, and find the documentation page | ||
2. Press the period(.) key to open the web editor | ||
3. Make the changes. you can rearange folders and files, as well as make new ones | ||
4. When you are done you can commit and push the updates. | ||
5. To do so, click on the scource control tab on the far left | ||

6. Hover over the changes and click the plus(+) icon next to each of the changes you want to push. they should move to "staged changes" | ||
7. Write a short message about your updates in the box at the top | ||
8. Click the green "commit and push" box |
