# Updating documentation
The documentation can be most easily updated through Github.
The steps are:
1. Log into your github account go to team 2530, and find the documentation page
2. Press the period(.) key to open the web editor
3. Make the changes. you can rearange folders and files, as well as make new ones
4. When you are done you can commit and push the updates.
5. To do so, click on the scource control tab on the far left
- It should have a symbol like this O

6. Hover over the changes and click the plus(+) icon next to each of the changes you want to push. they should move to "staged changes"
7. Write a short message about your updates in the box at the top
8. Click the green "commit and push" box
