+# Updating documentation
+The documentation can be most easily updated through Github.
+The steps are:
+1. Log into your github account go to team 2530, and find the documentation page
+2. Press the period(.) key to open the web editor
+3. Make the changes. you can rearange folders and files, as well as make new ones
+4. When you are done you can commit and push the updates.
+5. To do so, click on the scource control tab on the far left

+6. Hover over the changes and click the plus(+) icon next to each of the changes you want to push. they should move to "staged changes"
+7. Write a short message about your updates in the box at the top
+8. Click the green "commit and push" box
