The Companion Window Chrome Extension transforms any webpage into a floating Document Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window, enhancing your browsing experience and productivity. Perfect for multitasking, it allows you to keep any webpage visible while working in other applications or browsing different tabs.

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for the extension.
- Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
Alternatively, you can install it manually:
- Clone or download the repository
- Open Chrome and navigate to
chrome://extensions/
- Enable "Developer mode" in the top right corner
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the extension's directory
There are two ways to open a webpage in a Companion Window:
- Toolbar Icon: Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar
- Context Menu: Right-click anywhere on the webpage and select "Open in Companion Window"
To customize the extension:
- Right-click the extension icon and access the context menu settings
- Toggle the context menu visibility on/off as needed
