X-Pack Exercise

  1. X-Pack is installed as a part of Kibana and ElasticSearch from version 6.4.2
  2. Restart the services we have stopped: sudo systemctl start elasticsearch kibana
  3. Navigate to http://ip-address:5601
  4. Select Stack Monitoring -> Self Monitoring link and activate self-monitoring
  5. Browse through ElasticSearch cluster, nodes, and indices charts available
  6. Execute some queries against ElasticSearch to see the charts update
  7. Browse through Kibana monitoring and notice charts available
