[Documentation]Referencing people to Qt's documentation on regular expressions not helpful

The documentation of NW refers people to Qt's documentation regarding regular expressions. The Qt documentation is for developers, not end users.

I struggled to find clear documentation on that huge page. It is lacking examples and to make matters worse, it seems like Qt has two models for regular expressions.

Would it be possible to include good documentation on regular expressions? I would prefer it would contain proper examples and explanation, something which the Qt documentation is lacking as well.

I'm happy to replace the link with one to more general documentation on regular expressions, but I'm not going to write documentation on that. It's an advanced feature, and it assumes the user already know how to use regular expressions. It's quite a big topic.

I agree with @xahodo and think a link to some compact Perl regex cheat sheet would be the way to go.
On the linked QRegularExpression Class page, they claim to be Perl-compatible, and refer to the Perl's regular expression documentation and the Perl's regular expression tutorial.

By the way, I think it would be ideal to at least implement the search function with Python-regex, as there is first-class documentation for this:

The search functionality of the editor is a feature provided by the Qt side. It only accepts a string or a QRegularExpression object as the search parameter. Using Python regex is not an option.
