Found that the latnerns don't get an emissive texture nor do they emit light when you enable Dynamic Lighting in rethinking voxels latest version (found here).
Dug around in the shader a bit and talked to the author and given how Iris works we're a little confused on why it's not being picked up. The shader picks up the fact it's in the offhand slot, but that's about it. It's not picking up on the lantern being rendered on the player (RV vs default complementary does a material check for emission with dynamic lighting).
Any inkling why this wouldn't work? I'm a bit stumped.

I'm encountering the same problem. I've tried every solution a non-coder could possibly think of, to no avail. It would be very cool, indeed, if this post were to receive some official answer. (I have been using shrimple instead of rethinking voxels, but it has this issue with making modded non-full blocks appear encased in a shadow block)
