Would this be a good choice in combination with NextJS Sharp?

If I understand correctly, this plugin allows Strapi to serve custom sized image based on query parameters. NextJS' component has the option to automatically set sharp query paramaters on it's src.

My questions then is for anyone who has experience in using NextJS with Strapi, if using these two solutions together would improve performance? Or am I misunderstanding the functionality of either this plugin or NextJS' Sharp.
