Hi ,
Thanks for always helping people like us ..It's great to have someone who's always resolving our queries.
I have enrolled in five courses this Fall and want to select four out of these five:-
Analysis of Algorithms- Roger He
Information Retrieval- Rohini Srihari
Distributed Systems- Bina Krishnamurthy
Machine Learning,- M Gao
Software Testing
I am taking DS, ML and IR this sem for sure...I am confused between AoA and Software Testing.Being a non CS Undergraduate Student AoA will be very helpful for me to crack interviews. But I'm tensed that taking AoA DS ML and IR will be very very hectic, especially for a non CS undergrad student .
Also in fall sem classes of IR and AoA occurs in Knox and NORTON halls Respectively.Although they don't have even a minute gap (like the end time of IR and start time of AoA are the same) but Clara said that those are very near and one can reach in 1-2 min from Knox to norton.
Also one more reason I want to take AoA this sem is that in spring the AoA classes are like 9am in the morning ..so in the cold attending 9 am classes can be a bit difficult.
Can you please advise that with Information Retrieval, Machine Learning and Distributed Systems should I take Analysis of Algorithms (as it will be a plus for my internship preperation) , or should go for Software Testing( being a non cs grad , I'm getting goosebumps on how will I manage all four tough subjects)
I also attended your April Webinar in which you said that GPA don't matter in the interviews, it's the courses you took matters. Can you please help me out in selecting my fourth subject as I am currently going crazy finalizing which one to consider .
Tha ks for always helping us whenever we need help of any kind...Having Seniors like you make us speak proudly that UB has one of the best Alumni networks in the US .
Thanks,
Tanush Tripathi
