Hi, the beta 2 can be downloaded from https://repo.percona.com/ppg-17.2/. Be aware, that beta2, now became a part of Percona Server for PostgreSQL, and as such, you need to install the server, to get pg_tde. Some reasoning behind, is explained in this blog post https://www.percona.com/blog/open-source-postgresql-pg-tde-beta/ How to install can be found here: https://docs.percona.com/pg-tde/install.html Short summary: The pg_tde code is now integrated into Percona Server for PostgreSQL, as we do need two small core patches, that ensure, index and WAL encryption work. We would like to see this patches be integrated into the PostgreSQL core directly, so that we can build a stand alone extension again. If you want to support with this effort, here is the first patch, that needs reviews: https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/cd68e15f-35b3-4dea-bd62-cf88eeaa0fbe@proxel.se |

The current scope looks at a GA release at the end of Q2, but with WAL encryption as a beta/tech preview for further hardening (the dates are subject to change, depending on the work items). We want to ensure that the solution is battle-tested and rock-solid before we declare it GA. I hope that makes sense to you.
