The status label shows the condition of the robot. We may want to find out what is the most intuitive way to provide the user with the state of the vehicle. Some thoughts here to seed discussion.

  1. Use only the current label?
  • New msg replaces the old one
  • May need to keep critical msg and require a user dismissal
  1. Perhaps also colour code the severity?
    Red - critical. Lost of connection, navigation sensors, leak detected... etc.
    Orange - Severe, need attention but basic navigation and control are still possible.
    Yellow - Some sentuator not working, but life goes on.
    Green - All good ready to run.
