OTel Collector with LoadBalancing Exporter

We have setup an Otel Collector with a LoadBalancing exporter as a Frontline Collector which uses DNS Resolution to resolve the IPs of the Otel Collectors which apply Tail Sampling. Is it possible to scale the Frontline Collector to multiple instances ? Would the LoadBalancing exporter work then correctly and forward the spans from the same traceId to the same Otel Collector instance so that tail sampling continues to work as expected ?
