Hi,

I've set up a FinOps Hub with private endpoint and everything seems to be working well.
A PBI report for cost summary has been set up in PBI Desktop and from there authentication works perfectly fine but as soon as i publish it to PBI online and try to use the same credentials for scheduled refresh i get this error message.

Has anyone else ran in to this issue and if so, what's the solution? :)

Best Regards
Christopher

This is likely because Power BI is not running within your virtual network. Can you confirm you've configured private endpoints for Power BI?

@ro100e can you share some guidance here?

@Christopherloof To use Power BI and publish to a workspace there are some options for that.

  1. Adding a subnet to the FinOps hub virtual network and deploying a managed Virtual Network Data Gateway (This is the simplest)

  2. Deploying a self-hosted or personal data gateway onto a VM inside the FinOps hub network.

  3. Peering the FinOps hub Virtual Network to your network and using an existing self-hosted data gateway.

VNET data gateways require a Power BI Premium capacity license ( A4 SKU or higher or any P SKU) or a Fabric license (any SKU).

If you want this VNET peered with your hub network, please review this blog post
