Last.fm scrobbling #424
Comments
I don't believe you get any scrobbling by implementing Spotify Connect. Edit: Scrap that, I just saw your link, it must be server-side... So maybe it is the reporting/event stuff. I don't think it's part of Connect because librespot provides Connect and nothing gets scrobbled when using that. |
Such scrobblers do not work on MacOS. So implementing one to psst would be a good idea. |
any updates about this? |
no unfortunatly :/ |
We are happy to accept PR's! And I'd be more than happy to collab if someone gets one started :) |
I thought that Spotify is natively integrated with last.fm when user provides credentials. is there any 3rd party solution to workaround this? |
There's https://github.com/Ladbaby/lastfm-scrobbler but requires the media player to have MPRIS support, does Psst have that? |
The official Spotify clients and
spotifyd
will scrobble currently playing tracks appropriately using the official last.fm / Spotify service. Possibly, implementing the "Connect" feature tracked in #33 will automatically implement this feature as a side-effect, as this suggests:Workarounds: using a local MPRIS based scrobbler, such as
scrobblez
