Hi Jon,
I use your fantastic add-on and am finding many potential undiscovered systems. This is now the most important piece of kit for me in my wanderings.- in ED Horizons.
I have a couple of questions and I have no doubt that it is operator error on my part. They all revolve around the same issue
If I in any way touch EDS I am finding that immediately after EDScout locks up and won't show the planets and their Bio/Geo (if any after honking features) at the top of the page. The last system I was in before remains there and nothing changes.
I can understand if this is irritating to hear and with this being a freebie I have no right to winge but I would love to help. I have experience of working on a national level of the ANPR systems that the Police Force I was in was issued back in the early 2000s as an end-user and how to break them (purely for the right reasons). Even wrote "An officer guide to the BOF and Van" in user language and not as I termed it geek speak.
I have been keeping a mental note of any actions I take that causes EDS to lock up or jam.
1/ Selecting & Copying System name
2/ Clicking on the title bar to move the window.
3/ ALT & TAB to change to EDS
4/ WIN button to click on EDS or another addon currently in play
Ways I have tried to work around this issue are as follows.
1/ To cancel the current flight plan and then re-select it again. This works occasionally but is not guaranteed.
2/ Exit to Main Menu and then go back into the current gameplay I was in. This works intermittently.
3/ Exit ED to desktop then log back into game after re-starting ED. Generally works but is a last resort.
As I have mentioned if I can help in any way please let me know.
Once again thank you for your time and efforts, I for one greatly appreciate them and if you would rather I just Foxtrot Oscar then just say, I won't mind.
Phil
