To expand on Luca's answer a bit: there are two types of colors in TUI applications, standard palette colors (16 of them) and hex colors. Lazygit only uses standard palette colors by default (although you can override some of them with hex colors as shown above). The definition of how palette colors map to actual hex colors is not under lazygit's control, you define this in whatever terminal emulator you are using. Most terminal emulators have some sort of preference window for picking the colors; Ghostty has a pretty nifty theme chooser. |
