pstat is the name of a program in FreeBSD (pstat(8)), and there exists libpstat on HP-UX. Need to think of a better name.

Maybe just "prost"? Although "pasta" would be more playful.

I'm looking for a name that captures the intended purpose of the library, which is to query runtime information for a running process in a portable manner (insert something about me being no fun here). Sadly, names like procstat, procinfo, psinfo, pinfo, and statproc are already taken.

procdb and psq both appear to be free, though.
