this is a fork that originates from adamghill/django-unicorn#672
The fork is a large refactor of the django_unicorn code base that also includes several bug fixes needed for simmate apps. This should (hopefully) be a temporary fix, but it will be some time before these changes make it to django_unicorn's main repo. There's a solid chance that the two diverge from here as well, so this is tbd. Until then, I'll continue to maintain and tweak this fork within simmate, making it quicker+easier to debug and patch some of my prod setups
