Starting with v2.1.12 the libigc.so and libiga64.so linker symlinks are no longer available. These missing symlinks prevent building portable software for IGC 2.x (including my project, HPCToolkit). This is especially true on systems where altering the IGC installation requires the help of a sysadmin. Compute runtime 24.45.31740.9 and later, shipped as part of Intel driver 2448.13 and later, are affected.
The release notes for v2.1.12 state these necessary symlinks will be restored "in a future release." What is the status of restoring these symlinks, is there an expected release/timeline when these necessary symlinks will be available again?
