Coming from other youtube players, like the official youtube player and smartube (for Android) the UI/UX for the video player in this is very minimal. Too minimal for me. On other players pressing Up would bring up the seek bar and show some other options and buttons for things like the video quality, playlists, closed captions, etc. In Playlet it does nothing. Pressing down to go to PiP mode is fancy and fast, but very jarring for me. It's not a feature I see myself using all that often, and I have to wonder if other people would use it often enough either to justify it being a single button press away.
I'm requesting a more traditional player UI that is closer to what is in the official youtube app and smartube, complete with options like closed captioning, video quality settings, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, your opinion is aligned with what I have in mind for playlet, in fact the work for better UI is ongoing.
This is a sketch I've put together almost a year ago
The disruptive changes happening in YouTube and Invidious is what kept the features from releasing, because of the focus on having videos work in the first place. It will still take a while, but we will get there
