Just to adding some suggestions. Some time ago I tried various DnD implementations (e.g. svelte-dnd) for Svelte, but they were all quite limited at the time, especially when working with shadow DOMs (i.e. the arch-nemesis of all UI libraries).

Back than I used pragmatic-drag-n-drop from atlassian, because it's framework agnostic and only gives you the building blocks to implement DnD. This means we would have to create some helper components and actions, but it would allow for a lot of flexibility. They even have a Tree example https://atlassian.design/components/pragmatic-drag-and-drop/examples#tree

(Again, there might be better solutions out there, just suggesting one I have good experiences with)
