treadmill app

Hello
I have a treadmill with damaged upper board and i have managed to make it work using a RPi4 and python code inside so i can easily control the motor board for speed incline and custom programs... The problem is that using a local html page to control the board make it a really bad experience because of the awful refresh rate etc... Can u help me by telling me what tools I will need to make an android app graphical enviroment with cool buttuns dot matrix that show program status etc and make it wotk and control the rpi4 just like your program do?
