Hi,
We have a question regarding the fetch_watermarks() function, which may hang indefinitely and does not honor timeouts when attempting to connect to an unavailable cluster. This issue appears from the underlying librdkafka C library. Since the buggy C version is still bundled with the latest release of the rdkafka Rust library, is there any workaround or alternative way we can use to mitigate this problem? Thanks.

Since the fix of get_wamtermarks() API has been in rust-rdkafka 0.37, this case is closed as not a bug .
