ZBDongle-E: Connection failed -- The running firmware could not be detected.

When trying to flash my ZBDongle-E (installed firmware: 6.10.3.0 build 297), I'm only getting

Connection failed
The running firmware could not be detected.

Make sure the USB port works and if you are using a USB extension cable, make sure the cable can transfer data. Unplug the Sonoff ZBDongle-E and plug it back in to reset and try again.

in the web interface. The log says:

Try add your user to the dialout group.

Thanks! It was the uucp groups (since I'm on Arch), but that really did the trick. Perhaps a hint on this could be added to the web interface error message.

Curiously, the thing went to 100% but reported an error in the end. It all seems to have gone alright. The log is attached.

It would need to be added upstream to sl-web-tools, however its not that often that Linux users have issues here, most requests are Windows users.

From log, it finished flashing ok, but failed to probe device after, probably just needs a power cycle and will be good.
