1 3/4 cup | all purpose flour |
1/2 lb | semi or bittersweet chocolate |
- | flaky salt |
- Cut chocolate bar into small chunks.
- Preheat oven to 360°F.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with an electric mixer for 5 min.
- Add egg and vanilla, beat until incorporated.
- Add fine salt and baking soda, beat until incorporated.
- Add flour, beat on low speed until mixed.
- Note that the dough will look unusually crumbly.
- Add chocolate and fold in with a spatula.
- Shape cookies into small balls and place on cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle each cookie with a small amount of flaky salt.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Rest for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to cooling rack.
- Enjoy.
