Current Behavior

When using Seedvault for doing a backup of the device, when the backup is restored, Stack Wallet seems alright at first, but opening a wallet results in a "Failed to syncronize" issue.

Expected Behavior

Either backups work fine, or the app is excluded from backup. This may give the illusion that this backup works fine in Stack Wallet but in the end doesn't.

Reproduce Steps

  1. Create a backup using the latest Seedvault
  2. Restore backup into another device or profile
  3. Open Stack Wallet
  4. Open a wallet

Environment

  • Operating system and version: CalyxOS 5.14.2
  • Device platform and version: Android 14
  • Real device or emulator/simulator: Moto G52 "rhode"

Logs

No response

Further Information

This didn't seem to affect my Litecoin wallet, but it did seem to affect my other two ones, Bitcoin and Monero. I have backups of the keys.

Seedvault simulates device-to-device transfers to allow more apps to be backed up, and uses the AOSP APIs used for backup, e.g. the same ones as the Google device backup options found in Google Play Services but of course without being them.
