As per https://automate.chef.io/docs/install/#upgrades - upgrades happen automatically at an arbitrary time (whenever the supervisor detects a change in the channel). Customer evidence suggests a finer control of the upgrade timing would be preferable (e.g. to be chained to the backup time instead).
