It would be very helpful if there was a list of required system libraries in the documentation somewhere.
A couple I just had to install (with install commands):
sudo apt-get install -y libfontconfig1-dev sudo apt-get install -y clang
Admittedly, I probably should have had clang already (I typically compile with gcc/g++), but it's good to have.
