It seems that the current vSAN module (vmware_cluster_vsan) does not allow for vSAN ESA, but only OSA.

It would be very nice to have this added as an option for those running ESXI 8+ and creating new ESA based clusters.

I'm afraid that this is correct. Personally, I'm not using ESA (yet) so it's hard for me to test things in a real-world environment.

Additionally, ESA is a vSphere 8 feature (I think) and we are still testing only against 7.0 (#1746) :-(

@ihumster Do you feel able to implement VSAN ESA things?

@mariolenz I don't think it's realistic. For debugging and testing, we will need a configuration that is too specific

@ihumster and @mariolenz do we have a plan to have an ESA option while creating a vSAN cluster?

@prtyag No. We not have any idea how create modules for ESA. The community does not have a cluster for vSAN ESA, and in general the modules are currently being tested only under vCenter/ESXi version 7.0U3.
