AI to detect identical images in the OS by the image itself and the size

This will prevent duplicate images that are so annoying, and can't automate deleting them because the only wat, as far as I know, is by 1. name, and 2. size.

We want to automate this operation to detect identical images by the image itself (its colors and dimensions) and the size, to delete them or do whatever you want.

options:

• you can detect identical images in folder/s or the whole system
• the detection will be in the user system and not send data to servers to protect users' privacy
• the detection will not be perfect, so after the operation, it will show the identical images with a scale of identical (for the program from 80% - 99%) and the user will decide what to do with them.
• the deleting will be to the trash (not permanent delete) to enable the user to restore them back if he decided to later.

It's just an idea. I think python will be fine. It is OS-independent, and the most AI-compatible language.

This has to be a desktop application and the AI part might be a little advance for the purpose. But its a good idea :)

I think the user should give the path of critical area in his/her computer
then the AI should first return what is the duplicate image
then the user should make the action whether delete it or not
