Download issues on NPR

Describe the bug
Since a recent design change at ABC,the downloads no longer work - fully repeatable
A clear and short description of what the bug is.

To Reproduce
https://www.npr.org/2025/02/27/nx-s1-5309448/former-doge-staffer-explains-her-decision-to-quit
Click on the ... and a popup appears, "Download" doesnt do anything,
It works fine in other browsers I tried (e.g. Firefox)

• Vienna version 3.9.5
• OS version: MacOS 14.7.3

The issue is due to an attempt to open a webpage in a new window / tab before the download occurs.

@barijaona, Are you saying its user-error, or a problem on NPR's site?

The feed is https://feeds.npr.org/3/rss.xml
Double click and a new tab opens with the story - I don't change to that quickly.
Once I go there, there is a ... clicking it brings up a pop-up with "Download"
The link on that download is for example
https://ondemand.npr.org/anon.npr-mp3/npr/me/2025/02/20250228_me_former_usaid_head_under_president_george_w._bush_discusses_the_agency_s_dismantling.mp3?size=4901870&d=306329&e=nx-s1-5302555&sc=siteplayer&aw_0_1st.playerid=siteplayer
But clicking the download doesn't do anything.

That loads fine in for example Firefox.
Is there a browser console in Vienna ? I cant see what, if any, error messages are generated.
