Hey team, please ensure you've created a GitHub account on this site and installed Git before this week's session as described here: http://software-carpentry.org/workshops/setup.html

This week will be a fairly quick recap of git since most of you attend the Software Carpentry workshop earlier this year. Git is very powerful but we'll stick to the basics. Emphasis here will be on using GitHub and contributing to the Study Group.

Chris Harris has asked if a couple of his contacts from High Performance Sport New Zealand (R/SQL users) can attend the group. We can fit a few more in right?

I should have probably mentioned this earlier but I'll be there 10-15 minutes early today if anyone needs help with the set up.
