The Atom spec allows a broad interpretation of the atom:updated value:
The "atom:updated" element is a Date construct indicating the most recent instant in time when an entry or feed was modified in a way the publisher considers significant. Therefore, not all modifications necessarily result in a changed atom:updated value.
I wonder if the SDShare spec should constrain which value the atom:updated value should carry for
Issue #27 mentions the atom:updated element for entries in the overview feed. The solution suggests to be silient about the atom:updated element which is IMO suboptimal. The SDShare spec should either say that the atom:updated has no explicit meaning or it should suggest something like
The atom:updated value of the collection entries SHOULD reflect the date time of the most recently updated item being exposed by the collection
