Yeah, that's a common issue with AVG and whenever we release a new executable in general. If it allays your fears, it's the same executable that PoB has always used, just with some renaming for PoE2. https://github.com/PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding/issues?q=virus |
The portable version triggered Windows Defender as Trojan:Script/Wacatac.F!ml. Virus total came up clean. Just wanted to let you know of the false positive. The installer did not trigger any false positives. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url-analysis/u-3a2f5c94310edd958ca16c4d9038289ab6f91d21f52dfc66b2ca2fb794b7d4c9-1737179098 |
The installed version triggers Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml warning on windows defender. I am aware that this is ml triggered. It complains about 'Path of Building Community (Poe2).lnk' and the executable itself. regkey: HKCU@S-1-5-21-1444645143-334708038-411262145-1001\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\UNINSTALL\Path of Building Community (PoE2) |
I'm trying to install PoB 1 for the new PoE event, but it keeps being moved to quarantine, idk why. The latest one is ''IDP.generic''. Could anyone tell me whats going on? |
First off, this is the PoB 2 repo. |
I am inclined to trust the PoB community, but wanted to post about an anti virus warning when I attempted to install PoB2 from the exe. AVG has warned that it found IDP.Generic in the exe.
