Snow melting #516
Comments
I have the same problem |
Also, if you use DH, you can see that in unloaded chunks from the moment of winter there remains snow or, on the contrary, there is no snow |
Same issue. Fabric 1.21.1 Java 21. I'm in late summer and there is still ice and snow all around me. I'm using default config. |
In regards to the original issue, we use vanilla's snow melting functions, which don't use the simulation range at all. It uses its own hardcoded radius. As for Distant Horizons, that's a completely different beast of its own, and one we almost certainly won't be able to do anything about. |
What's the issue you encountered?
The snow isnt melting outside of simulation range and i know why because it doesnt tick there and i get it, but the thing i dont get is why some of the ice or snow that is in my tick range isnt melting, like it stays there and i modified it to melt 100% of time in chunks in late spring and the snow was still consistently there. Please fix
How can the issue be reproduced?
Just startup and let it be.
