Hello! Thought I should mention that Create Update 6 released today, which adds a lot of various features and heavily refactors code. It's obviously not great that you guys probably didn't receive any extra info for porting, and even if you did, it's still one hell of a task.

I decided to make this issue for tracking purposes.
1.21.1 version: https://github.com/Creators-of-Create/Create/tree/mc1.21.1/dev
1.20.1 version: https://github.com/Creators-of-Create/Create/tree/mc1.20.1/dev

Good luck with porting them over! I wish I could help y'all, but I'm unfortunately busy myself

The port has been developed concurrently, and we were also contributing to the update ourselves.
Create itself isn't very far on 1.20, but Ponder needs a lot of work.
1.21 has a lot of work to do.

Please let me know when this is finished. so I can apply the update to EveryCompat

no

if you can and had to, how long would you say we'd have to wait based on speculation as of now, for the fabricated version of the mod?

Porting a forge mod to fabric is a notoriously difficult task, even if you do develop the port alongside the forge mod. Based off of almost nothing, I'd give it, at the very least, a few weeks. Possibly a month or more. This depends on how much they got done already.

Avoid pestering the devs lol, I know how it feels to work on ports of things to different loaders/platforms O-O

A few weeks to a month for a major update is certainly generous, considering Patch G/H took three months.

why do they now release them both at the same time and save all the community backlash like 99% of other software developers?

The entitlement, wow. It is mentioned in the release announcement that the fabric port will take some more time and that is just fine. The porting team is doing great work and I personally am thankful that they are doing it at all: thank you! May your packages be plenty and packed.
(Suggesting this issue to be closed, btw.)

It's not "entitlement" to say that a delayed but simultaneous would make it easier on multiloader mod devs and therefore on users. I don't agree with bghyt's phrasing but their opinion is valid.

This issue could be used to notify people when Create Fabric 6.0.x is released. I was subscribed to this issue for that reason.

I never want the fabric port to impede the original. The update was ready, so it was released, not artificially delayed.
I'm going to lock this now.
