New feature idea: General flags for all (sub) commands

Just like helm, kubectl and minikube: All their commands have common attributes that can be applied.

I would like to add --verbose or --debug to all of the (42) commands in my CLI, but there is no proportional way to do this.

Can you help me with this?

Sure. This was raised and discussed in multiple places. See the issues and discussions in this "Global Flags" search.

In general, you have two ways to implement it:

1. Define flags in the root of your YAML file - these flags will be available on your root command - meaning:

   yourapp --debug subeommand --subcommand-flags
   

   See the note in Command > Flags documentation, along with the example it leads to.

2. Use YAML anchors to define flags once, and then reference the same definition from other subcommands.
   See Examples > Reusable Flags example
